Scott Kreher
Will someone take this fool’s gun away forever? Scott, a sergeant with the Atlanta Police Department, while appearing before the Atlanta City Council, said he wanted to beat Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin with a baseball bat because she hasn’t addressed the cops’ workers’ compensation issues to his satisfaction. Scottie Batman, we get your passion for your fallen comrades. But holy cow. When people who carry guns say they want to hit you with a baseball bat, it’s not just trifling, it’s horrifying.

How does this guy still have a job?
Yes, and Xavier, when will your horror be matched by moral outrage for the people who go without and butt heads with bureaucracy for their rights?
How about looking into the complaint, rather than make a yet another shallow, glib blog pronouncement?
Lazy people draw lines in the sand by race and politics and take comfort in canned slogans.
Frank, you are the only one who mentioned race and politics in this posting. So I suppose, by your definition, you are the lazy, shiftless one.
I’m not sure what you read, but Xavier’s post described the horrifying irony of a public servant, sworn to protect and serve, making a violent statement against a public official. Clearly Kreher lost his marbles by making a statement in a public forum like that. Xavier is saying that he gets the passion he has for his fellow office. But if Kreher can’t (or won’t) keep his cool in a public forum, take his gun away, because there is no telling what he’s capable of when he’s not in front of a camera. I happen to agree, Kreher’s got a serious sack thinking he could get away with a comment like that.
Hopefully Obama will appoint a pension Czar soon to handle this matter.
I agree Joe. Why not a pension czar?
Don’t we have a czar for about everything else?
